Shape Pals Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Shape Pals is a play app for children aged two to five. It collects nothing. It has no advertising, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting and no Internet permission. Everything the app remembers stays on the phone it is installed on.

2. Information we collect

None. The app does not collect, store on our systems, transmit or share any personal information, from children or from adults. In particular, it does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, audio, location, device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID or IMEI) or usage analytics.

The app does not have the Android INTERNET permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

3. Information kept on the device only

So that play can continue between sessions, the app saves a small amount of data in its private storage on your device:

• which friend and which day were last chosen;
• which stickers have been earned (one per friend per day);
• each friend's dress-up outfit;
• four settings: sounds, melodies, gentle vibration and calm motion.

This data never leaves the device, is not linked to any person and is deleted when the app is uninstalled. A grown-up can also clear stickers and outfits inside the app (hold the "Grown-ups" control for three seconds, then "Forget stickers and outfits").

4. Children's privacy

Shape Pals is designed for children under 13 (specifically ages 2–5) and is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies to children, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and Google Play's Families policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no in-app links to websites, app stores or social media, no chat, no user-generated content and no way for a child to contact us or anyone else from inside the app. Settings sit behind a hold-for-three-seconds control intended for grown-ups.

If you believe the app has somehow received personal information from a child, write to hello@buidraft.in and we will delete it.

5. Advertising and purchases

The app shows no advertisements, contains no advertising SDK, and offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

6. Third-party components

The app is built with Flutter and uses two open-source libraries: shared_preferences (saves the on-device data described in section 3) and audioplayers (plays the app's own synthesised sounds). Neither connects to the network from this app, and the app grants neither any permission.

7. Security

Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is no data of yours for us to protect on our side. The on-device data is stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read.

8. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it stores or does, we will update this policy, change the effective date above and, where the change matters, say so in the Play Store release notes.
